A Celebration of the Birds and People of Seattle | April 23 - 28 2018
Bird Week 2018 has ended, but you can still enjoy the stories, music, BirdNote Live!, and more.
Doughnuts, tap dancing, sketching, stories and plenty of birds! Seattle's celebration of Birds!
Listen in to BirdNote’s Michael Stein and Mary McCann with special guests Barbara Earl Thomas and Dr. J. Drew Lanham for BirdNote Live!, an evening of conversation by, for and about birds. This event took place April 26th at First Baptist Church in Seattle. A full house enjoyed a poignant and humorous conversation, with a special guest; a middle school student named Doria.
Volunteers at Seattle Audubon led birding walks in many parks across Seattle. Click on a park to see which birds they encountered.

We are collecting stories from people whose encounters with birds have brought them joy, made them angry, required them to clean their shirt, or made them think. The stories will be kept in the StoryCorps archive to enjoy for years to come. Visit the Seward Park Audubon Center to record your story, or create a StoryCorps account to record online. Record your story, or hear existing stories here.
We rely on the talents of our volunteers to promote the efforts of the Center. Whether you're a budding naturalist or an organized decision-maker, we need you!
Incorporating native plants into your yard or balcony garden provides important habitat for birds and promotes biodiversity.
