Here at the Audubon Center at Seward Park we help a diverse mix of children, teens and adults cultivate wonder and develop an insatiable curiosity in the natural world through environmental science, outdoor exploration and play--all in their neighborhood back yard.
Launched in 2008 and located on Lake Washington in South-East Seattle, the Center is a 277 acre playground with the last stand of old growth forest in Seattle, 9 miles of hiking trails and beaches all in one of the most culturally diverse zip codes in America. Annually we serve over 6,000 youth and 12,000 adults in education and conservation programs ranging from our popular Owl Prowl night hike for adults to Toddler Tales and Trails -- a storytelling journey for little ones.

The Center is a program of Audubon Washington which is a field office of the National Audubon Society and works in partnership with the City of Seattle's Department of Parks & Recreation.
