Teen Moving Meditation in the Ancient Forest
Events around the world and close to home have elevated stress and anxiety in many of us. And outlets for thoughtful ways to reduce the harmful circumstance we face are limited, and for some, non-existent. Finding comfort, peace, and mindfulness in nature has been a proven measure to find relief from these elements that tax our well-being.
Join us in Seward Park as Sifu Kimberly Bowen introduces teens to moving meditation. This program, which is suitable for all levels of meditation practice, begins with a moderate warmup to get our bodies moving, followed by a standing meditation to deepen our connection within ourselves and tune our senses to the natural world. In a silent guided walk, you experience the peace and beauty of the park’s ancient forest.
As the program ends, we share a healthy meal together during our time of reflection. This program is free is only open to people ages 14 – 19. Please find the date(s) you would like to join us. Your mental state will thank you.
