Seattle Artist Molly Hashimoto returns to Seward Park! To celebrate the release of her latest title Trees of the West: An Artist's Guide, Molly Hashimoto invites the novice and the seasoned artist to create a watercolor painting inspired by this new guide. In her latest book ‘rees of the West: An Artist's Guide, Molly focuses primarily on native trees, rather than cultivars, with a special interest in 45 major species found across the region, ranging from the stately Coast redwoods to the diminutive but distinctive Fishhook Barrel Cactus.
To celebrate her return to Seward Park, Molly will share insights on her work and connection with the flora and fauna of the west. Then Molly will lead a hands-on watercolor exercise. Each participant in this free event will learn insights into watercolor mastery from Molly's exquisite technical skills and fine eye for color and form. We will be using the finest materials and tools from Molly's studio to create art to take home. Please join us for this unique opportunity to learn from a brilliant artist in a space where nature inspires the soul.
