Naturalist Ed Dominguez examines the non-Cascadia Subduction Zone sources of earthquakes in our area (think Seattle Fault)and hazards posed by eruption of our Cascade volcanoes. Ed then explains the latest research on the epic Lake Missoula/Lake Columbia catastrophic ice age floods...the largest floods that we have any evidence of in the history of our planet.
Our Science, Nature & A Biscuit series invites experts to share their research on issues at the intersection of science and nature. Their knowledge illuminates the fragile nature of many ecosystems with the hope of gaining allies to make positive change. In addition to thought provoking naturalist presentations, we provide food for the body in the form of hot biscuits with butter and jam! What could be better?
