Seabirds in the North Pacific have experienced increased levels of mass mortality in recent years. As Executive Director of the Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST), UW Professor Julia K. Parrish monitors these events to assess the impacts of a changing climate and empowers thousands of coastal residents to participate in science and conservation. Seward Park Audubon welcomes Julia to the Royal Room for a compelling discussion on citizen science and an analysis of marine bird populations as part of our Urban Naturalist Series.
