TRAIL AND HABITAT RESTORATION
The Seward Park Audubon Center hosts a number of Volunteer Day restoration events throughout the year, sponsored and organized by the Center in conjunction with the Seward Park Reforestation project and made possible by a Toyota TogetherGreen grant. You can help improve and sustain the ecosystems of Seward Park by pulling invasive blackberry, ivy, holly, and laurel and building new trails as designated in the comprehensive trail plan recently developed by the Friends of Seward Park. We can also put together a restoration service project for your business, school, or organization.

Contact us if you would like to volunteer!

SEWARD STEWARDS & MASTER URBAN NATURALISTS
Seward Stewards are the volunteers who help the Seward Park Audubon Center and Seward Park in so many ways, from building trails and leading bird walks to reading stories at Toddler Tales & Trails and helping out on Full Moon Walks. The Master Urban Naturalist (MUN) training program provides volunteers with interpretive skills and scientific knowledge that allows them to increase their skills as Center docents and volunteer educators. MUN-sters take classes in the flora, fauna, and natural history of Seward Park and then help others increase their knowledge of the ecosystem and understand their role in stewarding it.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2012 session, click here for the course catalog and click here to apply.
