The Arts and Seward Park
FIRST THURSDAY COMMUNITY ART EXHIBITS
Every three months we exhibit the work of local youth or adult
artists whose works are closely tied to nature. Each exhibit
begins with an opening on the first Thursday of the month,
5-7 PM. Following this event, the art will remain on display
2 months.
FALL ADULT NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
What better place to improve your photography skills than
in Seward Park during the peak of fall leaf color? Field sessions
and lectures cover the use of light, composition, landscape
photography, close-ups, macro photography and how to find
the “right” picture. The program combines natural
history interpretation with photographic technique and is
designed for beginner to intermediate photographers.
SUMMER MOVIE SERIES AT THE AMPHITHEATER
Nothing says summer like a picnic and a movie! Combine both
activities at the center’s Summer Movie Nights and bring
the family! The first movie of the evening is rated G or PG.
Double feature nights also offer a spine tingling scary movie
after all the family fun.
