Talking Tree – wear a tree costume and engage with
our pre-K audience!
Office Assistant – help with mailings, program
registrations, events
Nature Shop Associate – work in our nature store
where sales provide support for our programs
Library Assistant – help organize and maintain
our 1,600 volume nature library
If you have additional areas of interest
or expertise such as leading workshops, marketing, restoration,

Who Can Become A Seward Steward?
Anyone over the age of 18 can become a Seward Steward. We
are seeking individuals from all backgrounds and skill sets
who support our mission and are interested in making a difference
in the lives of youth and families of SE Seattle. Additionally,
we do not require a minimum or maximum time commitment –
we are very flexible and are willing to adapt to your schedule
and availability.
Interested in Volunteering?
Prospective Stewards participate in a brief application and
orientation procedure, which is designed to acquaint you to
the organization, as well as match your skills and preferences
to our programming needs. Some volunteer positions (e.g.,
field instructors, interpretive guides) require additional
training, such as first aid certification.
High School Service Learning!
We also have many opportunities for completing high school
service-learning hours! Please contact us (see below) if you’d
like more information.
