Audubon We couldn’t do it
without the generous support of your and others like you!
The Seward Park Environmental & Audubon Center, like most
environmental education program providers, requires operating
funds beyond what program tuition can support.
WHO SUPPORTS AUDUBON
Men and women. Girls and boys. Families
and individuals from all walks of life, from all ethnic backgrounds,
from all parts of the world - and all parts of our state.
Together, we enjoy discovering the natural
world around us and sharing our delight with others - and
working together to sustain our quality of life and our communities.
WHY SUPPORT SEWARD PARK ENVIRONMENTAL
& AUDUBON CENTER
- You are drawn to the waters, fields,
and forests of Seward Park because of your appreciation
for the wonder and beauty of nature, your recognition of
the interconnectedness of people and the environment, or
the opportunities the natural world offers for discovery,
refuge, and renewal.
- You want to help protect Washington’s wildlife and
special places, and educate our children about the importance
of protecting our natural resources
- You recognize that your support is crucial to the future
of Seward Park Audubon. As a local organization, our budget
is based on charitable contributions and program revenues
– not on membership receipts. Though we are a Center
of National
Audubon Society, we raise our own operating support
and have our own Board
of Stewards.
- It's now easier than ever to support Audubon's work protecting
birds, other wildlife, and their habitats. All donations
are fully tax-deductible.
- Even though Seward Park Audubon accepts government grants,
but the vast majority of our support comes through private
donations, including support from individuals, corporations
and foundations. By maintaining a diverse private funding
base we are able to preserve our independence and assure
our effectiveness.
